Some of the most frequently asked question about improve.it:

  1. Q- how do I join a free of charge course?
    A- Create a new website account: it's free and automatic. Then visit our e-learning hub, click the course title you want to join, and log in.

  2. Q- how do I join a pay per view course?
    A- Click on the "add to cart" button you find in each course page in the catalog, and follow the online checkout procedure. Once payment is received by the TCN Consortium you will be provided a personal access key to the purchased course.

  3. Q- will my subscription to the courses expire?
    R- yes. Paid subscriptions give you the right to access the purchased courses anytime, anywhere, but for a limited period: they will expire after 30 days. Your subscription will not be automatically renewed.

  4. Q- do you use a live videoconference system?
    A- no, the improve.it courses are recorded in advance and the multimedia material is available on demand, anytime. You can think at improve.it as an engineering multimedia library.

  5. Q- who are the lecturers?
    A- improve.it lecturers are experienced engineers or university teachers, members of the TCN consortium for higher education faculty.

  6. Q- can I save the course materials on my PC?
    A- no: for copyright reasons this is not allowed.

  7. Q- how do I remove my subscription to this website?
    A- should this need arise please log in and send us your "deletion request" using the contact form provided in the menu. We will remove your user and data in the shortest time possible.

  8. Q- I teach a course on an engineering topic: can I publish it on improve.it?
    A- please contact us. Please provide us information about your course, the competences you focus on, the prerequisites for attending your course, the training materials format. We can provide suggestions and tools for on-line course development. We may host your course on improve.it. You may choose to sign a contract with us and publish your course on a pay per view basis, and in this case you will be paid royalties on your course subscriptions, or you may choose to publish it free of charge.
